Scholarships & Resources

Proceeds from the sale and sponsorship of the Aviation Aerospace Women of Excellence book will go toward scholarships for women interested in pursuing careers in these fields.

How can these scholarships help?

Women make up fewer than 13% of aviation students, but we’d be willing to bet there are a lot more women out there who are interested in pursuing aviation and aerospace careers, yet they may need some financial assistance to achieve their dreams.

This assistance goes beyond course work and textbooks. We also know women often have unique challenges when they’re pursuing their careers. They may need assistance flying out to networking events or interviews, or arranging for flight time.

We want to help every women achieve their goal of working in the aviation or aerospace industries, whether that’s tuition assistance, covering costs associated with attaining flight hours, or anything that will help an individual reach her career potential.

How will scholarships be funded and awarded?

Scholarships are funded through the generosity of the project’s patrons and from the proceeds of the Aviation Aerospace Women of Excellence book. The Texas Aviation Conservancy, a 501c3 organization, is producing the project and will oversee scholarship applications and awards.

The application process will be announced when the book is released in Spring 2020.

While we’re in the process of compiling the research and producing the book, here are other scholarship opportunities for women pursuing careers in aviation and aerospace:
